Setting the Stage: A Cutting-Edge Solar System
The heart of this installation is a 14.96kW solar system, which is composed of 34 Longi Solar 440W high-efficiency monocrystalline modules. This energy powerhouse is complemented by the Fronius 10kW Symo GEN24 plus inverter— a full hybrid model admired for its ability to juggle multiple power sources seamlessly. To add precision and flexibility, we added a three-phase energy meter ensuring balanced energy distribution.Navigating Challenges and Crafting Solutions
Like any major project, its success depended on coordinating with builders, plumbers, electricians and other trades to accomplish a phased installation over several stages. Once the roof was tiled, we returned several times to install racking, mount panels, and establish an inverter, batteries and EV charger. An added complication was ensuring that it conformed with safety standards, such as the protection of the battery system, which necessitated the installation of an insulating pole for both durability and security.
The central objective for our client was to achieve energy independence in order to future-proof their newly-build home. Our system drastically reduces the home’s reliance to long-term savings on energy bills and fuel costs, while providing a sustainable energy supply for their future EV.
A Trusted Partnership with Koncept Construction
In our seven-year partnership with the Koncept Construction team, we have been able to design and install some of the most spectacular, future-forward homes on the Sunshine Coast. Nicole and Matt, the people behind Koncept Construction, are committed to creating homes that are as stylish as they are sustainable. Their design philosophy extends beyond the architecture of their homes to also include their choice of sustainable energy solutions.
We have installed solar systems at many of these unique homes, custom designed specifically
for each property, over many years. One of our solar installations with Koncept Construction was
even featured in the television program Open Homes Australia. Watch here:
